Qualifications, experience and expertise: Essential Skills:1.Significant data network (switch, router, etc.) configuration experience working in a customer facing telecommunications environment.2.Thorough understanding of real time IT infrastructure (Unix systems, firewalls, data networks and associated services) in large scale environments. Significant experience of IT infrastructure design principles.3.Excellent knowledge and experience of data networking in a switched * routed* IP telephony environment, including knowledge of relevant protocols, MPLS, VPN, VoIP GPRS and UMTS
Job purpose:1. To liaise directly with Data Network Design and Planning to agree technical content of work to be carried and in-turn agree with all Build agents implementation plans and engineering methods to be followed to ensure the successful installation, configuration, implementation, commissioning and testing of Network (customer facing) IT infrastructure and systems (data networks, open systems platforms and firewalls) to support new services, business growth and drive improvements and efficiency in the data network infrastructure to meet the objectives MSB Technology (a division of MSB International PLC) is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
